TAKING PHOTOS

Showcasing your lash work through high-quality photos is an excellent way to market your business. With practice and attention to detail, you can capture stunning lash photos that will attract attention and generate interest in your services.

  • Use good lighting, preferably natural light near a window.

  • Keep hands steady or use a tripod for sharp focus.

  • Choose a clean and uncluttered background.

  • Focus on the lashes and avoid distractions.

  • Take before-and-after shots for showcasing transformations.

  • Experiment with different angles and compositions.

  • Capture the lashes from both open and closed eyes.

  • Use photo editing to enhance brightness and sharpness, but avoid over-editing.

  • Be consistent in your photo style and editing.

  • Ask for client consent before sharing their photos.

TIPS FOR CREATING CONTENT

  • Document Your Work: Throughout your day, document the different stages of your lash services, behind-the-scenes moments, and interactions with customers. Take photos or short videos of your work process, before-and-after shots, and satisfied clients (with their permission).

  • Repurpose Content: Take advantage of the content you've already created. For example, turn a series of before-and-after photos into a collage or use snippets from longer videos to create shorter, engaging clips.

  • Share Tips and Tutorials: Educate your audience by sharing lash care tips, product recommendations, and tutorials. This not only adds value to your content but also positions you as an expert in your field.

  • User-Generated Content: Encourage your customers to share their lash experiences and results. Re-posting user-generated content not only showcases your work from a customer's perspective but also fosters a sense of community around your brand.

  • Batch Content Creation: Set aside dedicated time each week to create content in batches. This way, you can streamline the process and have a reserve of content to schedule and post throughout the week.

  • Leverage Stories: Use Instagram and Facebook Stories to share more casual and real-time updates. Stories are perfect for sharing quick tips, polls, and behind-the-scenes moments.

  • Customer Testimonials: Collect positive reviews and testimonials from satisfied customers. Turn them into graphics or videos and share them on your social media to build trust and credibility.

  • Address FAQs: Pay attention to the questions you receive from customers, both in person and online. Address frequently asked questions through social media posts or videos.

  • Stay Current: Keep an eye on trends, events, and holidays that are relevant to your lash business. Create content around these themes to stay current and engage your audience.

  • Engage with Your Audience: Don't just post content and forget about it. Respond to comments, messages, and mentions. Engaging with your audience helps build a loyal and supportive community.

  • Be Authentic: Show your personality in your content. Being authentic and relatable will help you connect with your audience on a deeper level.

  • Plan Ahead: Create a content calendar to map out your content in advance. Planning ahead allows you to maintain consistency and ensure you cover a variety of topics.
